HAVANA, 17 July 2017.- After the launching of the #NoMásBloqueo poster contest within the framework of the Fourteenth Design Week 2017, we have received applications from persons from various countries around the world to participate in the contest. Therefore we have decided to broaden the convocation and extend the term for applications.
Designers, artists and students from Cuba and on the international scene may apply; they may participate as individuals or in groups of up to 5 persons and they may present more than one poster per participant.
New Delhi, July 19, 2017. The Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in India, Mrs. Marileydis Dueñas Morales, participated in the activity carried out this day at Vigyan Bhavan Plenary Hall, where prizes were awarded to the 8 best Leaders, key policy makers and change makers of India in 2016 for their outstanding work, in the presence of the Vice-President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari as Chief Guest along with 12 other personalities from the Government and the Parliament of this country.
The Hague, 18 July 2017.- The Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Consulate General of the Republic of Cuba in Rotterdam will remain closed on July 25, 26 and 27, 2017 for the celberation on the ocassion of the National Rebellion Day in Cuba.
The Embassy and the Consulate will resume their activities on July 28.
In all their various expressions, the posters should reflect the claim being made by Cuba and the international community for the end of the blockade which continues to be enforced by the United States and hurts the Cuban people.
