The Minister of Health of Ghana chairs the commemoration for 63th Anniversary of the Moncada Barrack Assault

With the presence of the Minister of Health of Ghana, Dr. Alex Segbefia, was commemorated the 63rd Anniversary of the 26 of July actions. The Minister of Health, the former Ambassador of Ghana to Cuba, Mr. Amoo Gottfreid, and the President of theCuban Trained Ghanaian Graduates Association (ESBECAN) took part in the Political-Cultural Activity held at the Cuban Embassy. Their interventions addressed different angles of the historical ties between our two countries and peoples.

Cuban antiterrorists Gerardo and René at Unite union conference

UNITED KINGDOM, 12 July 2016.- Len McCluskey, leader of the British union Unite, welcomed Cuban heroes, Gerardo and Rene, to the union conference in Brighton, devoting a space to their relatives.

Meanwhile, both Cuban antiterrorists thanked this British union for their commitment in support of the struggle of the labour movement in Britain for the liberation of the Cuban Five; They highlighted the gestures received from their former leader, Tony Woodley, who repeatedly visited Gerardo in prison, being the last person to see him there before his release.

UNITED KINGDOM, July 10, 2016.- Cuban heroes Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo and Rene Gonzalez Sehwerert, paid tribute to the great world thinker of the proletariat, Karl Marx, whose remains rest in his grave at Highgate Cemetery in London. Materializing the opportunity for the two worthy representatives of the people of Cuba to show respect for the one who called for the unity of the proletariat.

Cuban sports cooperation with Barbados to be extended.

The signing of a new two-year contract between the National Sports Council (NSC) of Barbados and Cubadeportes has propitiated to extend existing cooperation in six disciplines, which was extended to seven, by including Athletics, thus adding eight Cuban trainers in the country. The four new coaches are Isaac Oliva (Athletics), Reinaldo Rodriguez (Swimming), Alfredo Boza (Table Tennis) and Jose Hernandez (Volleyball) who complement the work of Angel Marin (Field Hockey), Mikhail Santos (Cycling) Felipe Alvarez (Boxing) and Julio Madrazo (Volleyball).
