Zimbabwe requests Cuban support in sports medicine

In the afternoon of today Wednesday, June 14, Cuban Ambassador Elio Savón Oliva met with the Principal Director of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation of Zimbabwe, Dr. Benson Martins Dube. This meeting is a further step towards the implementation of an agreement signed between INDER and the MSR last September. Dr. Benson Martins Dube clarified that his ministry´s main interest is sports medicine. "We have several universities with a good development in the sport, but sports medicine is our challenge," he said. He also commented on his intentions to invite Dr. Jorge Pavel Pino Rivero, director of the Institute of Sports Medicine of Cuba, to share with the country's associations and universities on the subject. Today's meeting laid the foundations for future cooperation with Zimbabwe in that field and is the first step in the implementation of the MoU signed between INDER and the Zimbabwe´s Ministry of Sport and Recreation.

Cuba y Luxemburgo: por una relación más fuerte

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute a tour of European countries

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla will start a tour of Turkey, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, and the Vatican from Thursday 15th.

During the tour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute an extensive programme of official meetings with his couenterparts and other national authorities.

Cuban Ambassador makes a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Council of Regional Representatives of the Legislative Assembly

Jakarta, June 15, 2017. The Ambassador of Cuba Nirsia Castro Guevara paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Mr. Oesman Sapta, President of the Council of Regional Representatives, Second Chamber of the Legislative Assembly of the country. During the meeting the diplomat offered the Honorable Sapta information on the state of bilateral relations between the two countries, especially on the parliamentary links, mentioning that between 2016 and so far this year, three parliamentary delegations have visited Cuba.

Warm farewell to officials at the Embassy of Cuba in Iran

Several members of the accredited Diplomatic Corps and Iranian friends from solidarity organizations gathered at the Residence of Cuba to offer a warm and well-deserved farewell to the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Norberto Escalona Carrillo, and his wife Anidelys Rojas Perera, after successfully completing four years of mission in Tehran.
