Intellectuals in Barbados to create the Caribbean Chapter - Network in Defense of Humanity.

Motivated by the challenges currently facing the humanity and the need to unite to face them effectively, a leading group of Caribbean academics and intellectuals, among which highlights the eminent Dr. George Lamming, met in Barbados to analyze the possibilities of creating the Caribbean Chapter of the existing Network in Defense of Humanity (EDH), created 11 years ago in Bolivarian Venezuela, currently represented by national chapters on different continents.

Trinidad y Tobago, July 27, 2015 - In a ceremony organized by the Friendship Association of Trinidad and Tobago "Friends of Cuba", the Cuban Brigades of al Health and Sport and the Embassy of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago, was commemorated the 62nd annivers

Trinidad and Tobago held a seminar to promote Investment in Cuba that was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of that country.

There were presentations by various Trinidadian organizations, the Cuban Ambassador as well as the Director of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

UWI and Cuba talk collaboration.

Port of Spain, ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago, 16 may 2015. – His Excellency Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago, paid a courtesy call on University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Pro Vice-Chancellor and Campus Principal, Professor Clement Sankat on April 22. The two met to discuss possibilities for collaboration, particularly in Research and Innovation Management Systems, Molecular Science, Agro-processing, specialist Health Services, Music, Arts and Culture, Software Development, Informatics and the preservation of historical buildings. Also in attendance was Mr. Sharan Singh, Director of The UWI St. Augustine’s Office of Institutional Advancement and Internationalization.

Cuban sports trainers returning to Barbados

A group of seven Cuban coaches who offer their technical cooperation in six disciplines (cycling, swimming, hockey, table tennis, volleyball and boxing) returned to Barbados to give continuity to the agreement signed by the National Sports Council (CND) to Cubadeportes SA company Technical Nelson Garcia Fernandez, Eric Raúl Urdaneta Becerra, Julio Alberto Madrazo Knight, Angel Manuel Marin Hernandez, Roberto Castillo Serrano, Felipe Alvarez Ramirez, Mikhail Santos Jimenez, were welcomed at the international airport by Ms.

FAO regional workshop with Cuban experts conducted in Barbados.

The sub regional representation of FAO held in Barbados a seminar-workshop three days to promote the development of the industry of cassava and other tubers in the Caribbean to which he invited Dr. Luis Ruiz Martinez and Yoel Beovides García, two experts INIVIT (Research Institute of Tropical Root Crops) Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba, who found the accumulated practices in this area and through five conferences shared the Cuban experience, in an event that served to identify several areas of collaboration for generalize good practice.
