Cuba considered today that stable and durable peace that allows the prevention of conflicts presupposes, above all, the recognition of and the unrestricted respect for the sovereign equality of States, the peaceful settlement of international disputes, the respect for political independence and for the political, economic, social and cultural system that the nations have freely decided for themselves and the rejection of the threat or use of force against another State.

Cubans in New Zealand promote Cuban music and dance

Wellington 7 January 2016. – The Cuban community in New Zealand has been promoting the knowledge of Cuban culture through various projects that have matured over a decade, from which the development of initiatives related to music and dance can be highlighted.

Foreign Ministry representatives of both countries meet to discuss issues of common interest for the next chairmanship of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC) which will be occupied by Cuba in the period 2016-2017. To this end, the Director of the Caricom-Caribbean Unit, Rodney Taylor, Ambassador of Barbados to Caricom, Robert Morris, and the official Mandisa Downes, received the Cuban Ambassador Francisco Fernández Peña.

Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas visits hospitals in Freeport

THE BAHAMAS, December 22th, 2015. - Today the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, visited several public hospitals in Freeport, the second most important island of the Bahamian Archipelago.

Just a day after signing the collaboration agreement on health between Cuba and The Bahamas, the Ambassador exchanged views with managers and medical staff of Rand Memorial Hospital as well as other public clinics which will welcome the Cuban medical brigade in a few weeks.
