The Governor General of New Zealand, The Right Hon. The IV CELAC Summit Meeting recently held in Quito, Ecuador, approved several relevant documents to our nations. In addition to the substantial and comprehensive Final Declaration, this time it was adopted a Special Declaration on the commitment to advance in multilateral negotiations on Nuclear Disarmament. Its first point was precisely to consolidate Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, as it was proclaimed at the II Summit held in Havana in January 2014.
