Dominica, Roseau, 7 October 2016. Cuba's ambassador in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta, highlighted the validity of the US blockade against Cuba despite the restoration of diplomatic relations last year. In statements given to the local radio station DBS, the Cuban diplomatic stressed that there can be no normalization of bilateral relations as economic, commercial and financial blockade is lifted, not the territory now occupied by the illegal naval base in Guantanamo be returned without ceasing subversive programs and radio broadcasts against Cuba.
