Cubans and Barbadians to celebrate Father's Day.

In an activity of social fellowship, animated by a musical environment, sun and beach, and the excellent ties between the people of two Caribbean islands such as Cuba and Barbados, Father's Day was celebrated in St. James between friends and relatives of the Cuban Embassy, sports coaches working in Barbados, members of the Cuban resident´s community and friends of the Barbadian solidarity organizations.

Intellectuals in Barbados to create the Caribbean Chapter - Network in Defense of Humanity.

Motivated by the challenges currently facing the humanity and the need to unite to face them effectively, a leading group of Caribbean academics and intellectuals, among which highlights the eminent Dr. George Lamming, met in Barbados to analyze the possibilities of creating the Caribbean Chapter of the existing Network in Defense of Humanity (EDH), created 11 years ago in Bolivarian Venezuela, currently represented by national chapters on different continents.

Trinidad and Tobago held a seminar to promote Investment in Cuba that was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of that country.

There were presentations by various Trinidadian organizations, the Cuban Ambassador as well as the Director of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Port of Spain, ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago, 16 may 2015. – His Excellency Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago, paid a courtesy call on University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Pro Vice-Chancellor and Campus Principal, Professor Clement Sankat on April 22. The two met to discuss possibilities for collaboration, particularly in Research and Innovation Management Systems, Molecular Science, Agro-processing, specialist Health Services, Music, Arts and Culture, Software Development, Informatics and the preservation of historical buildings. Also in attendance was Mr. Sharan Singh, Director of The UWI St. Augustine’s Office of Institutional Advancement and Internationalization.

Cuban sports trainers returning to Barbados

A group of seven Cuban coaches who offer their technical cooperation in six disciplines (cycling, swimming, hockey, table tennis, volleyball and boxing) returned to Barbados to give continuity to the agreement signed by the National Sports Council (CND) to Cubadeportes SA company Technical Nelson Garcia Fernandez, Eric Raúl Urdaneta Becerra, Julio Alberto Madrazo Knight, Angel Manuel Marin Hernandez, Roberto Castillo Serrano, Felipe Alvarez Ramirez, Mikhail Santos Jimenez, were welcomed at the international airport by Ms.
