In an activity of social fellowship, animated by a musical environment, sun and beach, and the excellent ties between the people of two Caribbean islands such as Cuba and Barbados, Father's Day was celebrated in St. James between friends and relatives of the Cuban Embassy, sports coaches working in Barbados, members of the Cuban resident´s community and friends of the Barbadian solidarity organizations.
Motivated by the challenges currently facing the humanity and the need to unite to face them effectively, a leading group of Caribbean academics and intellectuals, among which highlights the eminent Dr. George Lamming, met in Barbados to analyze the possibilities of creating the Caribbean Chapter of the existing Network in Defense of Humanity (EDH), created 11 years ago in Bolivarian Venezuela, currently represented by national chapters on different continents.
Trinidad and Tobago held a seminar to promote Investment in Cuba that was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of that country.
There were presentations by various Trinidadian organizations, the Cuban Ambassador as well as the Director of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
