Cuba and the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa strengthen relations

The Executive Director of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Dr. Yemi Akinbamijo, was received at the Cuban Embassy by the Ambassador Pedro L. Despaigne González, who exchanged on the best way to put in function the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2015 with the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba, as well as its possible extension to other countries of the continent. 

Cubans in Ghana celebrate Father's Day

Members of the Cuban community at Ghana, together with Ghanaian graduates in Cuba and the members of the Cuban State Mission celebrated the Father's Day.

The meeting was held in T-Havana areas, in the city of Tema, which became an ideal setting to exchanges on the reality of the Caribbean island in an atmosphere of Cubanness. The Ambassador Pedro L. Despaigne González, on behalf of the members of the State Mission in the country, congratulated the all the fathers there present. 

Barbadians and Cubans celebrate Father's Day.

As it is usually happening during years, members of the Association of Cuban Residents "Martyrs of Barbados" joined with friends of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MSC) to celebrate together at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy on Father's Day, the third Sunday in June, in a joyous activity that served to fraternize in a family, including children.

New York, 16 June 2017.Cuba acknowledged the worthiness of the draft of the Convention for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, which is under discussion within the framework of the UN Conference to Negotiate a Legally Binding Instrument to Prohibit Nuclear Weapons, Leading towards their Total Elimination, being held at the United Nations headquarters, in New York, and which will conclude next 7 July.

On June 16, 2017, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech full of hostile anti-Cuban rhetoric reminiscent of the times of open confrontation with our country in a Miami theater. He announced his government’s Cuba policy, which rolls back the progress achieved over the last two years since December 17, 2014, when Presidents Raúl Castro and Barack Obama announced the decision to re-establish diplomatic relations and engage in a process towards the normalization of bilateral relations.
