Forum on US Embargo against Cuba takes place in the University of West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, October 18 .- Sponsored by the Institute of International Relations of the University "West Indies" of Trinidad and Tobago and the Embassy of Cuba, was held a discussion forum entitled " The Economic, Commercial and Financial Embargo of US against Cuba ". The programme of the event included remarks by the Ambassador of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago, H.E. Guillermo Vázquez Moreno and Dr. Jacqueline Martinez LaGuardia, as well as a session dedicated to questions and answers.

Second Cuban Cultural Week is inaugurated in The Bahamas

NASSAU, October 14th, 2015. On Tuesday, October 13th, it was officially inaugurated in The Bahamas, the Second Cuban Cultural Week, which will take place until Friday, October 16th.

The second edition of the Second Cuban Cultural Week has been organized by the Cuban Embassy in this capital and the School of Liberal Arts of the College of The Bahamas (COB), which is the main venue of this event.

 Wellington, October 12, 2015. The Cuban film "The Booby Prize," fiction film produced in 2009 under the direction of Juan Carlos Cremata, was the movie selected to start the Latin American cinema session on October the 9thin the town of Ashhurst, located in the New Zealand city of Palmerston North.

The Ashhurst Community Library, venue of this event, was attended by a large group of spectators, fans of Cuban cinema and culture, who along with representatives of the Embassy, shared an evening full of Cuban identity.

In an emotional ceremony held at the Memorial erected in Paynes Bay to the victims of the heinous attack on the flight CU-455 of Cubana October 6, 1976, senior government officials, Parliament and organizations of Barbadian movement of solidarity with Cuba, deposited several wreaths and spoke heartfelt words, in which the conjugated tribute to the fallen, dissatisfaction because after 39 years has not done full justice and condemnation of terrorism latent identified as a challenge for the entire Caribbean.

TT Cubans remember Barbados bombing.

CUBANS living and working in Trinidad and Tobago recently joined with counterparts in their homeland to mourn and remember the lives of 73 passengers and crew members killed, 39 years ago, in the terrorist bombing of Cubana Flight 455 in neighbouring Barbados.
