Cuban Ambassador Presents Letters of Credence to the Republic of the Philippines

Manila, May 15, 2025. In a solemn ceremony held at Malacañang Palace, Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández presented to the President, His Excellency Mr. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of the Philippines.

Following the official ceremony of the presentation of the Letters of Credence, attended by the Secretary for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Enrique A. Manalo, a wreath was laid to the Philippine national hero, José Rizal.

Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association condemns Cuba's inclusion on U.S. State Department list

Cairo, May 15, 2025. The Egyptian-Cuban Friendship Association (CEFA) today condemned the inclusion of the Caribbean island in a U.S. list of countries that allegedly do not cooperate in the fight against terrorism. In a letter sent to the Cuban ambassador in Cairo, CEFA president Kamal Gaballa expressed his full solidarity with the people and government of that Antillean nation.

In the note, the Association affirmed that Havana is making exemplary efforts to combat terrorism at the international level.
