Cuba-CARICOM Day celebrates its 23rd anniversary.

Today, December 8, 2025, Cuba and CARICOM celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the independent states of CARICOM and Cuba, and the 23rd anniversary of Cuba-CARICOM Day.

Vietnamese company invests in cashew cultivation in Cuba

The Hoang Gia Viet Food JSC of Vietnam has signed an economic cooperation contract with Alquizar, an agricultural company of the Artemisa Agroforestry Business Group, to cultivate cashew and short-cycle crops in Cuba. The signing ceremony in Havana on December 6 was witnessed by Cuban Deputy Minister of Agriculture Telcel Abdel Gonzalez, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long, and other senior officials from the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture.

Under the contract, the Vietnamese company will farm cashew and short-cycle crops such as peanut, black bean, mung bean, and soybean on an area of 2,000 ha in Artemisa province. It will provide materials, agricultural machinery, technical expertise, and technology while Cuba will supply land, labourers, and favourable conditions for the project.

Cuban Ambassador Participates in Diplomatic Christmas Concert for Peace at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Singapore

SINGAPORE, December 7, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Singapore, Lisbet Quesada Luna, participated in the emblematic Diplomatic Christmas Concert, organized annually by the Choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Risen, directed by its founder and director, Sir Peter Low, at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in the City-State.

Choral music lovers, diplomats, and people of all ages gathered to listen to more than 60 songs and carols sung in 35 languages. Cuba was represented by a Cuban lullaby in the style of a 20th-century Havana song.

Saint Lucia-Cuba Friendship Association Annual Meeting Dedicated to the Eternal Fidel Castro, Cuba-CARICOM Day, and Solidarity with Venezuela

Vigie, December 6, 2025 – The Saint Lucia-Cuba Friendship Association Annual Meeting served as a platform to pay tribute to Fidel Castro, Cuba-CARICOM Day, and the call to maintain Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace. Other topics related to the Cuban situation, the effects of the blockade, and Cuba's inclusion on the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism were also discussed.
