Ulaanbaatar, November 13, 2025 – The newly designated Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Emilio Pevida Pupo, was received by the Secretary of State, Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav, to whom he presented the Copies of Credentials accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to that nation.
Very few African nations have a national action plan for the human rights of their citizens. Liberia has just joined this select group and invited the diplomatic corps to its launch.
The Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, who was present, emphasized the comprehensive nature of human rights, the importance of working to promote them as a whole, and highlighted the serious impact of the U.S. blockade on Cuba's full enjoyment of these rights. She also reiterated Cuba's willingness to contribute to African development with the experience it has accumulated.
