We inform all our users that due to reasons of force majeure which include Consul Roberto Vizcaíno´s temporary absence, the Consulate of the Republic of Cuba in Vienna will ONLY sell tourist cards in December 2017. All consular services will be resumed in January 2018.

Information Note on scheduling of consular service during August

This week:

Tuesday, 8 August and Thursday 10 August (only tourist cards)

From 14 to 16 August (closed due to official issues)

From Monday 21st August on all consular services will be resumed at 9:00 hours (From Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 hours)

The Consulate apologizes in advance for the inconvenience this rescheduling of service may cause.

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute a tour of European countries

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla will start a tour of Turkey, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, and the Vatican from Thursday 15th.

During the tour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will execute an extensive programme of official meetings with his couenterparts and other national authorities.

I appreciate the invitation the Austrian Trade-union Confederation (ÖGB) and particularly, Marcus Ströhmeier and Sabine Stelczenmayr have extended to me on the occasion of the inauguration of an exhibit devoted to the Cuban Trade Union. I welcome the presence of the veteran comrade Gilda Chacón Bravo from the Division of International Relations of the Cuban Trade Union who is participating as a panellist in this meeting.

Cuba participates in the Business and Investment Forum Iconvienna 2017 in Austria

The 13th European Business and Investment Forum (Iconvienna 2017) was held in the Federal Economic Chamber of Vienna. There were presented the business opportunities in Latin American and the Caribbean in the margins of the event. Likewise, Cuba´s foreign investment opportunities, essentially, in Mariel Special Development Zone as well as in the renewable energy sector and some other prioritized areas were highlighted.

In the city of Linz, Austria, young people organizations prepare a panel against the blockade

In Linz, an Austrian city that is the capital of the Upper Austria region, a debate panel against the blockade organized by the branch of the Friendship Association Cuba-Austria (ÖKG, by its Dutch initials) of that region in coordination with socialist youth (KSV, by its Dutch initials), and the Austria´s Association of Communist Students (KJÖ, by its Dutch initials) was held.

Information Note: Remodeling of the Cuban Consular Section in Austria (with jurisdiction in Slovenia and Croatia)

As it was previously announced, the offices of the Cuban Consular Section in Austria shall be structurally remodeled in order to provide our users with a better comfort and security to deliver a better service. The remodeling work shall start on Monday, April 3rd, 2017 and they shall continue during all that month of April.
