Cuba moves closer to our own COVID-19 vaccine
Havana, August 20th, 2020. Authorization granted to the Finlay Vaccine Institute to begin clinical trials of new vaccine in collaboration with Ministry of Public Health institutions. This past July 28, Cuba’s candidate vaccine was tested for the first time on human volunteers, precisely three researchers participating in its development. An initial evaluation revealed a strong immune response in all three.

BioFarma Innovations, a new joint enterprise created by BioCubaFarma and SG Innovations Limited
Havana, August 3rd, 2020. Cuba’s BioCubaFarma Enterprise Group and the British company SG Innovations Limited has announced the creation of a new company, BioFarma Innovations, focused on accelerating the development of new medications and their distribution in Europe and the British Commonwealth, according to a joint statement, made available to Granma.
