Monrovia, August 20, 2021 - Aimed at reviewing issues of mutual interest to effectively advance in their fulfillment, the director of the Division for American Affairs, Mr. Maxwell P. Vah, and the head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a working meeting at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry of this West African country.

Vice President of Liberia Jewel Howard Taylor visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Monrovia, June 7, 2021 - Today at our Cuban Embassy in Liberia, we welcomed the visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Dr. Jewel Cianeh Howard-Taylor, who was received by the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

The Liberian vice-president expressed her joy at being able to complete the visit she had wanted to make to our diplomatic headquarters since last year and expressed her pleasure at reciprocating the visit that the Head of the Cuban Mission had paid her in April.

Monrovia, May 28, 2021 - In the morning hours our embassy received the visit of the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, who was received by the head of the Cuban mission in this West African country, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera.

The two diplomats had a pleasant exchange where they discussed issues of multilateral interest that require the attention of both countries.

Korvah.

Monrovia, February 22, 2021 - This morning, the Advisor to the Chancellor for American Affairs Hon. Maxwell P. Vah visited the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia, where he was received by the Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

Both held a fruitful exchange in which they discussed issues of interest to both countries, demonstrating the willingness of both governments to strengthen bilateral relations.

Cuban Head of Mission grants interview to one of the main Liberian newspapers.

Monrovia, January 5, 2020 - This morning, Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera gave an interview to correspondent Joaquin Sendolo of the "Daily Observer", one of the most widely read newspapers in Liberia and with the oldest circulation in the African country.

In it, the Cuban diplomat referred to the Cuba-Liberia scholarship program from which Liberian students have benefited to study medicine in the Greater Antilles.
