The contribution of Cuba to the health of African peoples was acknowledged and appreciated, in the in the speeches at the event.

H.E. Ambassador Patricia L. Pego Guerra, meets with Mr. Tebelelo Boang, Director of Europe and Americas, at the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation of Botswana.
They update each other about the bilateral relations between both countries and the new areas to extend them. Also ratify the political will to maintain them after more than 4o years.
Cuba and Botswana sign education agreement
Botswana and Cuba restart the cooperation in basic and special education, with a contract signed between The Dow Academy and the Cuban Enterprise of Educational and Scientific Exchange, that includes professors from the Caribbean island in that African country.
The agreement was subscribed by the CEO of that institution, Cheshe Dow; and Cuban ambassador, H.E. Patricia L. Pego Guerra, at the headquarters of this academy in in Mochudi, Kgatleng district, about 35 kilometers northeast the capital city, Gaborone.
Ambassador pays Courtesy Call to the Speaker
H.E. Ambassador Patricia L. Pego Guerra pays a Courtesy Call on the Speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana Honourable Phandu T.C. Skelemani, at the Speaker's Office, in Parliament buildings.
Their discussions focuses on the issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening the bilateral and Parliamentary relations between Botswana and Cuba.
The two agree on exchange programs between the Speakers, and Members of Parliament of both countries which will strengthen their working relations.
Ambassador pays Courtesy Call to Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs.
H.E. Ambassador Patricia L. Pego Guerra pays Courtesy Call to Ms. Anna Maria Mokgethi, Honourable Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs of Botswana, who was accompanied by senior officials.
The Minister commended Cuba for the cordial relations with Botswana and the support provided in different sectors, like health, education and sports.
The Ambassador confirmed her country's commitment to further strengthen cooperation with Botswana in new areas of interest among them Gender Equality, Gender Based Violence and Women in leadership.
