Zimbabwe-Cuba: Let's share mutual content, strengthen ties

Harare, 20 March 2025- The Herald newspaper today lauded the words of Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting, Dr Omphile Marupi, in affirming the need to share mutual content and strengthen Zimbabwe-Cuba media ties.

   The resistance demonstrated by the bilateral ties is a strength of character and remains unwavering despite the West's punitive unilateral coercive measures against the sovereignty of both countries, Marupi was quoted as saying by the influential newspaper.

Zimbabwe Highlights Cooperation with Cuba in Media

Havana, March 19 - Zimbabwe's Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Omphile Marupi, highlighted today in this capital the importance of cooperation with Cuba in the field of media communication.

The existence of an agreement between the Zimbabwean news agency New Ziana and its Cuban counterpart Prensa Latina allows for the sharing of mutual content and strengthens bilateral relations, the deputy minister of that ministry stated in exclusive statements to this media outlet.

An international colloquium on the Fidel´s life and work was devoted to the Barbadian youth.

Young Barbadians from university and pre-university education formed an ideal audience that received with great interest the International Colloquium on the life and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, held in two intense sessions of fruitful exchange this February 24th, at UWI - Cave Hill Campus, sponsored by its Social Sciences Faculty and the Network in Defense of Humanity - Caribbean Chapter, with the collaboration of the embassies of Cuba and Venezuela.
