NEW YEAR’S STATEMENT FROM THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF IRELAND
The Communist Party of Ireland sends revolutionary greetings to Ireland’s working class, family farmers, students and apprentices, and to all those forces fighting to create a better future.
Regarding Cuba, in the Statement, the following is stated:
The Communist Party of Ireland expresses our steadfast solidarity with our comrades in the Cuban Institue of Friendship with the Peoples, the Cuban Communist Party, and the Cuban people, in the wake of yet another failed attempt by the empire to destabilise Cuba.
PRESS STATEMENT ON TERRORIST ATTACK ON THE CUBAN EMBASSY IN WASHINGTON
The Communist Party of Ireland condemns the September 24th terrorist attack on the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC and we call on the US authorities to provide greater protection to the embassy.
This attack must be seen in the light of the ongoing cold war waged by successive US administrations against socialist Cuba, including the illegal blockade, which has been repeatedly condemned by the UN General Assembly.
