Namibia, November 11th, 2021- Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Namibia, participated in the TV program “Good Morning Namibia”, on the national radio and television network NBC, where he explained the process of opening the Cuban borders to international tourism and the return to normality of the country, gradually and maintaining attention on COVID-19.

Havana, 19 March 2020.- In view of the serious international epidemiological situation arising from the high rate of spread of the novel coronavirus (SARS CoV 2/Covid-19), and its rapid expansion, Cuban Consulates abroad have adopted measures aimed at protecting Cuban nationals requesting services and the Cuban officials working in our country’s consular offices overseas against potential spread of the disease.

Effective Thursday, 19 March, the following measures will enter into force on a temporary basis:

•    Remote consular services will be enhanced.

Last March 13, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland requested from the Cuban authorities that MS Braemar, a member of the Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, be authorized to dock in a Cuban port and that its passengers, a small number of which have been affected by the novel coronavirus (SARS CoV 2/Covid-19), be cleared for repatriation by air.
