The Communist Party of Poland condemns the US policy based on false accusations against Cuba

Warsaw, June 11, 2024.

On 15th of May the US State Secretary delivered a report for the US Congress listing states that allegedly did not cooperate with the US antiterrorist efforts in 2023. The report does not mention Cuba, however it remains on the list of states allegedly „sponsoring terrorism”. This policy based on false accusation and outright lies serves to justify the unlawful economic blockade of the island. It is also used to interfere in the internal affairs of Cuba and exert political and diplomatic pressure on countries and companies willing to cooperate with Cuba.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel shared with more than 100 young people from the U.S. Let Cuba Live brigade, who are on a solidarity visit with the cause of Cuba and Palestine, an official source informed today.

In a message released on X, the Cuban leader highlighted the emotions he recently experienced while exchanging with the members of that youth group who - he wrote - “were walking the island and talking to its people”.

Russia will cooperate with Cuba in the development of renewable energies

Havana, June 9, 2024.- The Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, Evgueni Grabchak, recently highlighted that his country cooperates with the Cuban authorities to support the development of renewable energy sources in the Caribbean nation.

According to statements made to Sputnik, cited by PL, Russian companies in the energy sector "work actively in Latin America, and one of our niches is on the Antillean island, with the construction of facilities with the use of natural resources.

Cuban Head of Mission met with Vice President of the Republic of Liberia.

Monrovia, June 5, 2024 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a positive exchange with the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia H.E. Jeremiah Kpan Koung.

The Cuban diplomat conveyed on behalf of the Cuban government congratulations on his election and expressed her willingness to continue strengthening Cuba-Liberia bilateral relations on the basis of cordiality and mutual respect.

The meeting took place in a cordial and fraternal atmosphere.

 

Young people from an important world platform visit Cuba

Young people from the IV Youth Brigade, associated with the International Assembly of the Peoples, began a visit to Cuba, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) revealed today.

According to an official report, the brigade is made up of more than 100 citizens, most of them from the United States, and they will carry out a program outlined by the Institute itself and the Martin Luther King Center.

Among the young people there are also some from Asian and African nations, who will visit the Fidel Castro Center and exchange with ICAP representatives.

Cuba will continue to support the countries of the world in Health.

Cuba's Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal, said today that for his country it is a duty to accompany the peoples of the world in the protection of health, regardless of complex scenarios.

The message came during a meeting with members of the Alliance for Health Development in Africa and the Caribbean who are participating in the 77th World Health Assembly, an event taking place this week in Geneva, Switzerland.

For Portal, it is impossible to talk about Cuban medical cooperation without mentioning our history of cooperation in Africa and the Caribbean.

American Jazz Orchestra in concert in Cuba.

The emblematic Casa de las Americas, in this capital, invites today to the concert to be given in its premises by the Harvard Jazz Orchestra, United States, under the conduction of Cuban Yosvany Terry.

The evening will be held at the Che Guevara Hall and will mark a new performance here of this group of young non-professionals in a reunion with the Cuban public.

During previous visits to Havana, this musical group has collaborated with national students and prestigious musicians of the island.

Cuban Head of Mission held fraternal exchange with President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate.

Monrovia, May 29, 2024 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez held a fraternal exchange with the recently elected President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Honorable Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence.

The meeting was propitious for the Cuban diplomat to convey her willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations at the parliamentary level.

Hon. Lawrence is the second woman in the history of the Liberian Senate to head the Senate as President Pro Tempore.
