On February 17 and 18, the XXXVII Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in which it was unanimously adopted and for the tenth fifth consecutive time, the AU resolution calling for the end of the United States blockade policy against Cuba.

U.S.-Cuba cultural bridge, ballroom dancing competition announced.
