Cuba detects three new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, June 23, 2020. - The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were three new cases detected of COVID-19, for a total of 2,318 positive cases across the island.  

During his daily press briefing held Tuesday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up to 12 midnight Monday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus.  A total of 85 patients have died in Cuba over the past several months.

Cuban president says COVID-19 figures improving significantly

Havana, June 21, 2020-- The statistics that are religiously reported every morning show a nation with remarkably low rates in the battle against COVID-19, although the battle for life continues.

The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, spoke of the hopeful numbers at the meeting he leads every day with Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz.  The four cases that were reported, he said, is the lowest number of positives in a day after we reached the peak of the epidemic.  At other times we had five, six, but four is the lowest.

Cuba detects 10 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, June 19, 2020.-- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 10 new cases detected of COVID-19, for a total of 2,305 positive cases across the island.  

During his daily press briefing held Friday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up to 12 midnight Thursday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus.  A total of 85 patients have died in Cuba over the past several months.

Cuba detects 15 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, June 18, 2020 -- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 15 new cases detected of COVID-19, for an total of 2,295 positive cases across the island.  

During his daily press briefing held Thursday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up to 12 midnight Wednesday night -- unfortunately, one patient died from the coronavirus.  A total of 85 patients have died in Cuba over the past several months.

Cuba receives aid donation from United Nations Development Program

Havana, June 15, 2020- The Cuban Ministry of Agriculture received a donation from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to provide protection against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The equipment is intended for workers in the agricultural sector in the central provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus, as well as in Granma and Santiago de Cuba, in the east of the island.

The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz appeared on Cuban television’s Mesa Redonda program, yesterday evening, June 11, to explain details of the next stage the country is approaching in defeating the COVID-19 epidemic, along with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Alejandro Gil.

Cuba reports 14 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, June 12 june, 2020.- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 14 new cases of COVID-19, for an total of 2,233 positive cases across the island.  

During his daily press briefing held Friday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up to 12 midnight Wednesday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus.  A total of 84 patients have died from COVID-19 in Cuba over the past several months.

Cuba reports 8 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, June 11, 2020.- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 6 new cases of COVID-19, for an total of 2,219 positive cases across the island.  

During his daily press briefing held Thursday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up to 12 midnight Wednesday night -- unfortunately, one patient died from the coronavirus.  A total of 84 patients have died from COVID-19 in Cuba over the past several months.
