The Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir González Quesada, was received by the Minister of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, who also serves as co-president of the Cuba-Iran Intergovernmental Commission.
For the Iranian side Deputy Minister for International Affairs, Dr. Mohsen Asadi Lari, was also present at the meeting while Second Secretary of the Embassy, Norberto Escalona Carrillo participated for the Cuban side.
Kuwait, Oct. 26, 2016. Andres Gonzalez Garrido, ambassador of Cuba in Kuwait visited the headquarters of the weekly magazine The Times of Kuwait, where he held a meeting with his editor in chief Reaven de Souza.
During the meeting they discussed various international issues of interest, including the vote of the Cuban resolution against the blockade, that to be held this October 26 during the sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
New Delhi, 25 October 2016. From 23 to 24 of this month was held in the capital of India an International Conference entitled "Focus Latin America: the Need for an Effective Program," which was sponsored by the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA ) with the participation of a group of personalities, academics and former diplomats from Latin America and India to propose ways to approach the Indian subcontinent to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Kuwait, October 22, 2016. A group of 10 bachelors in nursing arrived to the capital of Kuwait to begin Cuban cooperation in the area of nursing health sector.
The group was received by Cuban ambassador Andres Gonzalez Garrido at Kuwait International Airport.
Nurses will offer their services in the Dasman Diabetes Institute as a result of an agreement signed between this institution and Medical Services Enterprise of Cuba, CSMC.

Re: Your October 14, 2016 Presidential Policy Directive – United States-Cuba Normalization
First of all I would like to acknowledge the decisive change in your Cuba policy by re-establishing a diplomatic relationship with the Island that was broken for way too long. I would also like to recognize the positive developments in areas such as telecommunication, transportation and travel, and some aspects of trade and commerce since December 17, 2014.
