Cuba honours Vietnamese journalist

The Cuban Association of Journalists (UPEC) presented the Felix Elmusa Medal – the highest honour of the organisation - to journalist and translator Vu Van Au, a former staff of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), in recognition of his contributions to the popularisation of information on Cuba’s social life and achievements across fields.

The 90-year-old Au was honoured at a ceremony on February 13 to launch the Vietnamese - Spanish Dictionary compiled by himself, which is the first bilingual dictionary of this kind compiled and printed in Vietnam.

Vietnamese group AMV and CIGB sign a commercial contract

The purpose that, in perspective, Cuba will play an increasingly important role in supplying biotechnological products to Vietnam was expressed by Ambassador Orlando Hernandez Guillen in Hanoi on Friday.

The common desire to advance in that direction and the incessant development of Cuban biotechnology are elements that should enable us to achieve that goal, the diplomat stressed after signing a commercial contract between the Vietnamese group AMV and the Havana-based Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB).

Vietnam attends fifth International Conference For World Balance

A Vietnamese delegation led by deputy head of the National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs Le Anh Tuan attended the fifth International Conference For World Balance in Havana on January 24-28. Themed “With all and for the good of all”, the event was one of the activities honouring Cuban national hero José Martí on the occasion of his 170th birth anniversary (January 28), with over 1,100 delegates from 87 countries globally taking part.

2023 will be a year of intense work by associations of solidarity with Cuba.

This 2023 will be a cycle of many initiatives and joint activities, from the associations that make up solidarity with Cuba in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Their main representatives, Telca Wallace, of the SKN-Cuba Friendship Association and Hollis Prentice, of the graduates’ association, held meetings with the diplomatic staff of the Embassy of Cuba, in which they presented their plan of activities planned for the whole year.
