Terrorist attack against the Cuban Embassy in the United States: Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

During the night of September 24, 2023, a terrorist attack occurred against the premises of the Cuban Embassy in the United States, when an individual threw two Molotov cocktails from the sidewalk over the perimeter fence of the facility, which hit the front wall of that diplomatic mission. There were no injuries to the personnel who were present at that headquarters.

During the night of September 24, 2023, a terrorist attack occurred against the premises of the Cuban Embassy in the United States, when an individual threw two Molotov cocktails from the sidewalk over the perimeter fence of the facility, which hit the front wall of that diplomatic mission. There were no injuries to the personnel who were present at that headquarters. At the request of the Cuban diplomatic mission, officers of the United States Secret Service arrived at the building and had access to its facilities to verify the violent action perpetrated.

Top Cuban legislator starts Vietnam visit

President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez arrived in Hanoi on September 24, beginning a five-day visit to Vietnam to attend a ceremony to mark 50 years of leader Fidel Castro’s trip to the liberated zone in Southern Vietnam. Welcoming the Cuban leader at the Noi Bai International Airport were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc.

VUFO President pays courtesy call to leader of Cuban legislature

A delegation from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) led by its Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Hung paid a courtesy call to President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez in Hanoi on September 24.

Hernandez will represent leaders of the Cuban Party and State to attend a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of leader Fidel Castro’s trip to the liberated zone in Southern Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba concludes visit to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis

On Tuesday afternoon, after a four-day visit to St. Kitts, the Cuban delegation headed by the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, who attended the commemorations for the 40th anniversary of the independence of this Federation, returned to Havana.

The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent congratulatory messages to the Governor General of this Federation, H.E.D. Marcella Liburd and the Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the independence of this Caribbean nation.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, also sent a message of congratulations to his counterpart, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas.

Cuban Deputy Prime Minister meets with his counterpart from St. Kitts and Nevis

As part of the visit to Saint Kitts and Nevis of the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, a cordial meeting was held with his local counterpart, the Honourable Dr. Geoffrey Hanley at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy.

The meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere, was conducive to verifying the good state of relations between the two nations and the mutual interest in strengthening existing ties.
