The secretary general (SG) of the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts, David André, headed a delegation to Cuba to attend the first International Congress on Cultural Heritage held under the ‘Meeting of the Ministers of Culture of the Group of 77 and China-Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development', from May 2-6, 2023.

The May 2-6 meeting was held at the Havana International Conference Centre (Palacio de las Convenciones).

Monrovia, October 18, 2022 - Inspired by initiatives within the framework of the celebration of the Day for Cuban Culture, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, headed by its Chief of Mission Mercedes L Martinez Herrera, developed the seminar "Fidel Castro, promoter of Cuban Culture".

This initiative has managed to disseminate the undeniable commitment of our Commander in Chief with Cuban culture.

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, delivered a wide-ranging speech, closing the Ministry of Culture’s annual performance review and addressing many points, confident in the power culture and ideas have within our people.
And everything is about Cuba, the beloved island that breathes and offers nothing but love, both inwardly and toward our sister peoples. A nation that yearns for peace and defends it with deeds that match our words.

Monrovia, October 20, 2020 - The collective of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia greets the Day of Cuban Culture, with typical Cuban clothing, and singing with one voice, the notes of our National Anthem. 

Today Cuba celebrates its cubania. It is a commemoration that goes beyond applauding the fact of being born on an island surrounded by sea, we celebrate our identity, our values and our universality.
