Ο ΓΓ της ΚΕ ΑΚΕΛ συναντήθηκε με τον Πρέσβη της Κούβας
Ο Γενικός Γραμματέας της Κ.Ε. ΑΚΕΛ, Στέφανος Στεφάνου, συναντήθηκε χθες με τον Πρέσβη της Κούβας στην Κύπρο, Angel Gustavo Suarez. Τον ΓΓ συνόδευε η Βέρα Πολυκάρπου, επικεφαλής του Τομέα Διεθνών Σχέσεων και Ευρωπαϊκής Πολιτικής.
Στη διάρκεια της συνάντησης έγινε ανταλλαγή απόψεων για διεθνή θέματα κοινού ενδιαφέροντος και αλληλοενημέρωση για την κατάσταση στις δύο χώρες.
Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions approves resolution demanding an end to the unjust and inhumane blockade imposed by the USA against Cuba.
Nicosia, 5 March 2023. The recently concluded Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions, which took place in Nicosia, capital of Cyprus, between 3 and 4 March, approved a Resolution in solidarity with Cuba that condemns the unjust and inhumane blockade imposed by the USA against the Caribbean island and demands the immediate surrender of the territory occupied by the illegal naval base of Guantanamo.
Cuba was present at the Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions held in Cyprus.
Nicosia, 5 March 2023. The capital of Cyprus hosted the Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions on 3 and 4 March, and Cuba was represented by Ernesto Freire, coordinator of the trade union organisation for Latin America and special envoy of the Cuban Workers' Confederation (CTC).
Mayor of Paphos receives Ambassador of Cuba
02 March 2023. - The Cuban Ambassador, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero paid last March 1st a formal visit to the Municipality of Paphos, where he was received by the Mayor of the city, Mr. Phedon Phedonos.
His Beatitude Georgios I, Archbishop of New Justiniana and all Cyprus received the Ambassador of Cuba.
