The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba reiterates its firm and unwavering adherence to the principle of "one China" and recognizes Taiwan as an inalienable part of its territory, in view of the attempts by secessionist forces and external actors to take advantage of this issue to undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the People's Republic of China, intervene in its internal affairs and undermine regional and international peace and security.

The Cuban Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero received on January 9, 2024, at the Embassy headquarters, Mr. Giorgos Perdikis, President of the Green Party.
In a friendly meeting they exchanged on the internal and international situation, the environmental challenges facing the island of Cyprus and the world. For his part, the Cuban Ambassador gave extensive information on the serious consequences to the economy and society caused by the criminal, unilateral and unjust blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years.
