Cuba calls for an effective solution against Covid-19 for humanity

Havana, Apr 24 Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said today that humanity demands an effective solution to Covid-19, a pandemic that affects the majority of the planet.

In his account of the social network Twitter, the Chancellor stressed that this is a crisis of multiple and devastating effects not only in the field of health, but also in the economy, international trade and society.

The Minister urged to unite international efforts and stressed that "together we can achieve it."

Havana, April 24: Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, Secretary General of the Cuban Workers Central (CTC) and vice president of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), sent a message to the world working class, on the occasion of the celebration of this May Day.

In his message, he conveys to the workers of the world and friendly union organizations, the sincere greeting of the Cuban workers. This crisis once again showed that the necessary unity, solidarity, mutual and sincere support can be developed much more between workers and peoples.

The impact of COVID19 can already be measured and will be assessed in the future by the striking numbers of people infected, the unacceptable numbers of deaths, the unquestionable damages to the world economy, production, trade, employment and personal income of millions of people.  It is a crisis that goes well beyond the scope of health.
