Ethiopia and Cuba commemorate the 47th anniversary of the Karramara victory

Addis Ababa, March 5, 2025.- Today, March 5, 2025, at the Ethiopia-Cuba Friendship Park, known as the Tiglachin Monument ("Our Struggle" in Amharic), the 47th anniversary of the victory of Karmara was commemorated. This historic event marked a decisive moment in the defense of Ethiopian sovereignty and in the maintenance of regional integrity, with the decisive support of Cuban internationalist troops.

Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia holds meeting with directors of the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry

Addis Ababa, March 3, 2025.- The Ambassador of Cuba to Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez, was received this afternoon by Ambassador Abraham Mengistu, deputy director of Europe and America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia. During the meeting, both parties exchanged on various issues of bilateral and multilateral interest, reaffirming the willingness to strengthen the historical ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Restoration of the Friendship Park on a Day of History and Brotherhood

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2025.- In an act of deep historical and symbolic significance, members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Ethiopia, Ethiopian Cubans and Cuban residents met this Sunday to begin the restoration of the Cuba-Ethiopia Friendship Park, an emblematic site located in the heart of Addis Ababa.

Cuba participates in the celebrations of the 129th Anniversary of the Victory of Adwa

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2025.- On March 2, 2025, a ceremony was held at the Adwa Museum in Addis Ababa to commemorate the 129th anniversary of Adwa's historic victory.  The activity was attended by senior government officials and the diplomatic community based in the capital. Cuba's ambassador to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernández, attended the event on behalf of the Cuban diplomatic mission, reaffirming the historical ties and solidarity between Cuba and Ethiopia.
