Trubaduuri Tony Ávilan menestyksekäs konsertti Kuuban solidaarisuuden hengessä
Helsingissä 26.1.2019. Juhlistaakseen Kuuban vallankumouksen 60-juhlavuotta, sekä kansallissankari José Martín syntymän 166 vuosijuhlaa, suomalaisia, Suomessa asuvia kuubalaisia sekä muita latinoita kokoontui kulttuurikeskus Gloriaan nauttimaan Tony Ávilan ja bändinsä erinomaisesta konsertista. Konsertti sai osallistujat tanssimaan kolme tuntia putkeen laajalla kappalevalikoimallaan.

Helsinki, January 22, 2019. Thousands of Finns and visitors from different latitudes, along with exhibitors from 80 countries and travel agents from all continents, had the opportunity to approach the attractive options and multiple benefits offered by Cuba as a safe travel destination during the international tourism fair MATKA 2019. Considered the largest event in this sector in northern Europe, MATKA 2019 took place between 17 and 20 January at the fairground "Messukeskus" in this capital.

On January 16, 2019, the US State Department announced the decision to suspend, only for 45 days, the implementation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, “in order to conduct a careful review …in light of the national interests of the United States and the efforts to expedite a transition to democracy in Cuba, and include factors such as the Cuba’s regime’s brutal oppression of human rights and fundamental freedoms and its indefensible support for increasingly authoritarian and corrupt regimes in Venezuela and Nicaragua.”

The Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba, committed to the solidarity and humanistic principles that have guided Cuba’s medical cooperation for 55 years, has been participating in the Program More Doctors for Brazil since its inception in August 2013. This initiative launched by Dilma Rousseff, who was at that moment the president of the Federal Republic of Brazil, pursued the double purpose of guaranteeing medical assistance to the majority of the Brazilian people, following the principle of universal health coverage promoted by the World Health Organization.
