The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the US State Department’s certification of Cuba as country that is not cooperating fully with the United States counterterrorism efforts, published by the Federal Register of that country on May 25, 2021.
Cuban Ambassador to Ghana highlights Cuba's blood ties to Africa
On the occasion of the celebration of the Africa Day in Ghana, the documentary “Recognition of Cuba's blood relationship with Africa” was published on the WhatsApp platform of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba” (https://youtu.be/TJ4nN8ZPoac), based on an interview offered by the Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, to a team from the Kantanka TV channel in May 2019.
Miguel Díaz-Canel: Africa can always count on Cuba
The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, stated on Africa Day that this continent can always count on the island.
The president tweeted saying that the Spanish brought from Africa the ancestors of the current generations of Cubans, who returned in tens of thousands, voluntarily, to fight for the independence of African countries.
'Together we shed the shared blood; together we face the challenge of development,' wrote Díaz-Canel. 'Cuba has brought solidarity and brotherhood to a continent where empires have only brought contempt, wars and looting.'
Recognition to Cuba in Online Forum for Africa Day
