Cuban president calls for final blow to COVID-19

Havana, May 24 - Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel called for a "final blow" to COVID-19, after a decline in active cases of the virus in the country.
"Now the most important thing is to cut transmission and that this leads us to a position of security to make new decisions regarding the behavior of the disease in the country," the president stressed this Saturday at the meeting of the working group created for the prevention and control of the pandemic on the island.

Havana, May 26- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 16 new cases of COVID-19, for an total of 1,963 positive cases across the island.
