Solidarity with Cuba and condemnation of the blockade in celebration of July 26 in Greece
Athens, July 21. The Hellenic Cuban Friendship and Solidarity Association of Athens (AHC), organized a massive event of solidarity with Cuba at the Veterans Association (SFEA), at the Liberty Park, for the 68th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada Barracks on July 26 1953. In the event the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba and the new imperialist plan with lies campaigns against the Cuban revolution were condemned.

Solidarity with the struggle of the Cuban people against the US intervention
The MEPs of the KKE denounced the orchestrated intervention plan by the USA and the anti-Cuban mafia aiming to overthrow the Cuban government at the relevant discussion in the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs. KKE MEP Kostas Papadakis highlighted the pretextual concern of the EU–USA about “human rights” and expressed the KKE’s solidarity with the people, the government, and the Communist Party of Cuba in the struggle to defend their gains.

"There are no threats in Fidel's country, unquestionably from the communists"
With a dynamic rally on Friday afternoon in front of the US Consulate in Thessaloniki, the KNE organizations sent a message of solidarity to the Cuban people, who in recent days are fighting another imperialist plan against them.
With slogans such as "Imperialism does not happen in Cuba, I demand revolution and socialism" and "In Fidel's country there are no threats, unquestionably from the communists" they clarified that Cuba is not alone and that the provocations of the imperialists will not pass!

SYRIZA-PS expresses its full solidarity and support to the Cuban people, at a time when they are being put to the test by the interaction of COVID and the embargo, which was intensified with the imposition of 243 additional measures during the pandemic period. The blockade to Cuba, contrary to international law, was recently condemned by the vast majority of UN members (184 member states) in the General Assembly, June 23. The ties between our two peoples are timeless and are based on common historical experiences.
