The statement came after a meeting called by the director of National Intelligence, Avril D. Haines, with the intention of evaluating the investigations carried out on the alleged sonic attacks on State Department officials, CIA officials and their families.

The Olympus at the Olympiad: "Emotional message from Tokyo 2020".

A message of gratitude and greeting from the Cuban delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has just been received in Athens, which has starred in a brilliant performance in this world sports event (14th place in the Olympic medal table by countries, surpassing the performance in Rio , London and Beijing, with the least numerous delegation in 61 years), aimed at Cuban compatriots who recently ascended Mount Olympus to place a plaque in honor of the Cuban National Hero José Martí, and also climbed the difficult Myticas peak, the highest altitude of Greece, a fact that they dedicated from the bottom of their hearts to the Cuban athletes who competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, and which they have given so much honor to the Homeland.

The member of the European Parliament, Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos, from the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), considers that the "long resistance of the Cuban people and their struggle against imperialist aggressiveness is an inspiration to the peoples of the whole world."
Today, when a political-media operation and destabilizing attempts orchestrated from the United States take place over Cuba, the Greek MEP reaffirms, in an exclusive interview, his "firm solidarity with the people, the Government and the Communist Party of Cuba" and his conviction of that "Cuba is not alone!", that "Cuba will win!"

There was a duty to Martí. It had to be fulfilled “simply and naturally”: the Apostle of Cuban independence felt a deep attraction towards Mount Olympus. He called it, "The Olympus." In the perfectible work José Martí and “the Greek” it has been noted that one could talk about the existence of a kind of literary and poetic “olimpitis” in Marti's work.
