February 2, 2025 FORMER President of Guyana, H.E. Donald Ramotar, recently participated in the 6th International Conference “For the Balance of the World,” held from January 27 to January 31.

The event brought together current and former Heads of State, high-ranking government and party officials, trade unionists, and members of the Diplomatic Corps from various countries, all convened to discuss pressing global issues.

Minister of Agriculture of Guyana recognizes the work of Cuban specialists in Parliament.

Guyana, Georgetown, February 3, 2025. The Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha, recognized in Parliament the work carried out by the Cuban sugar specialists who offer this cooperation in Guyana. Cuban technicians have accompanied GuySuCo's revitalization efforts, especially in areas such as field, agricultural and crop management, said the Minister, who considered the participation of Cuban specialists valuable due to the high level of experience and direct exchange with the local population and in the estates.

Cuba rejects the decision announced by the President of the United States to use the Guantanamo Naval Base to imprison tens of thousands of migrants he has proposed to forcibly expel. It is a demonstration of the brutality with which that government is acting to supposedly correct problems created by the economic and social conditions of that country, the government's own management and its foreign policy, including hostility towards countries of origin.
