Guyana demands the lifting of the blockade at the UN

Guyana, Georgertown, September 21, 2023. The President of Guyana, Mohamed Irfaan Ali, denounced in his speech delivered at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the aggression that the Cuban people have been subjected to for more than six decades, with the application of the Blockade policy and demanded the removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. In his speech, the president expressed the need to maintain regional unity in the face of the sanctions that are unfairly applied and reiterated the rejection of the Guyana government.
