The Young Communist League of Cuba sends congratulatory message to the Democratic Youth Federation of India.

The Young Communist League of Cuba (UJC) welcomed the positive results of the 11th National Conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and extended its congratulations to comrades A.A. Rahim and Himangnaraj Bhattacharya for their new responsibilities as President and Secretary General of the DYFI, respectively.

The UJC also expressed its gratitude for the resolution of solidarity with Cuba and its condemnation of the blockade, adopted during the Conference, while ratifying its commitment to continue working together. 

Communist Party of India reaffirms friendship with Cuba.

Doraisamy Raja, General Secretary of the Indian Communist Party, visited Cuba's diplomatic headquarters in New Delhi, where he was received by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas Marín. The meeting reflected the close ties of friendship and solidarity between the Indian Communist Party and Cuba.

Raja reaffirmed his support and commitment to the strengthening of relations between both parties and peoples, as well as with the just causes of Cuba, particularly the struggle for the lifting of the blockade.

Calcutta reaffirms solidarity with Cuba.

The Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas, visited the city of Calcutta, capital of the state of West Bengal, during which the feeling of friendship and solidarity of the Indian people with our country and the memory of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, and the heroic Guerrilla, Ernesto Che Guevara, who visited this city in 1973 and 1959 respectively, was made clear.

Trade relations between Cuba and the Indian state of West Bengal are strengthened.

Several actions were developed this weekend in Calcutta, capital of the Indian state of West Bengal, to promote Cuba's commercial and economic ties with this region. Under the initiative of the Indian Economic and Trade Organization (IETO), an India/Cuba business conference was held, which was attended by a large number of businessmen and had as a key moment the announcement of the appointment of Naresh Juneja as IETO commissioner for business with Cuba in Calcutta.
