CUBA AND THE XVII NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT SUMMIT

As everyone surely knows, Cuba, like other major countries like India, Egypt and the former Yugoslavia, is one of the founders of NAM. Since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in January 1959, the foreign policy of the island has been focused on the guiding principles, emanating from the First Summit of Bandung in 1955 and the XIV Declaration of NOAL Summit in Havana 2006.

Foreign Ministries of Cuba and India developed positive bilateral talks.

New Delhi, September 2nd 2016.- On the occasion of the visit to India by the Secretary (Regional) of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, from 30 August to 1st September for bilateral talks, was carried out an intense work program  and other visits organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India and the Embassy of Cuba in this country.

The National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba in India celebrated the 90th birthday of Fidel with Joy.

New Delhi, 13 August 2016. With a large representation of leaders and members of Indian solidarity, teachers and university students, friends and diplomats, the National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba, in coordination with the Embassy of Cuba held a commemoration especially in the auditorium of Ghalib Institute, in honor of the 90th birthday of the Commander in Chief and the 63rdAnniversary of the attack on the Moncada Barracks.

The birthday celebration of the Commander in Chief was held in Indore, the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Indore, August 13, 2016. Vineet Tiwari, General Secretary of the Association of Progressive Indian Writers from the state of Madhya Pradesh, along with other leaders of political organizations, women's, labor, academic and other members of solidarity with Cuba India, gathered to pay tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution. The assembled gathering celebrated the 90th birthday of Fidel Castro Ruz in an enthusiastic activity where they projected videos, songs and poems about the life and work of the Commander in Chief.
