Ambassador of Cuba held a meeting with members of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship Indonesia-Cuba

Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara met with Mohammad Toha, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the National Awakening Party (PKB according to its abbreviations in bahasa indonesio), who is part of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship Indonesia-Cuba.

Indonesia, December 8, 2016. A representation on Cuban tourism and culture was present at the Tourism Expo held this day at Jakarta State University.

The presentation was assembled by Indonesian students and was one of the most visited during the Expo for being one of the most attractive and the unique representation from Latin America. During the rector's visit to the booth, he acknowledged the good work done by the students and recalled the great relationship of friendship between Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Sukarno.

Peñalver held meetings with Deputy Foreign Minister A M Fachir and his counterpart the Director General for American and European Affairs Muhammad Anshor, respectively. During the exchanges both sides welcomed the good condition in which the historical bilateral relations are currently and highlighted the potential that exist to develop trade links and cooperation.

Indonesia, August 25, 2016. Muhammad Anshor, Director General for American and European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia received this morning the Ambassador of Cuba Nirsia Castro Guevara at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

Both diplomats exchanged views on the current good state of bilateral relations and the mutual interest in strengthening it, as well as identifying specific projects to develop economic and trade relations, as well as the cooperation between the two countries.

Another young Indonesian is privileged with a scholarship to study medicine in Cuba

Indonesia, August 24, 2016. The Cuban Embassy gave the farewell to Naopal, an Indonesian young who received the scholarship from the caribbean island to study medicine for free, as part of the program of cooperation with the Asian country. The meeting held at the headquarters of the Diplomatic Mission of Cuba was attended as well by the parents of the student and other friends of the Embassy.
