The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Tehran called to commemorate the 206th anniversary of the signing of the independence of this Latin-American nation by placing a wreath in front of the statue of the Liberator Simón Bolívar that is raised in the capital park of Goftegú. The ceremony was headed by the Venezuelan Ambassador, Jesus Gregorio González González, and Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada and Third Secretary Junior Peñalver Quevedo participated on behalf of the Embassy of Cuba.

Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada visited the headquarters of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) to hold a working interview with the President of Iran-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Mohammad Reza Mansouri, and others of its members.

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, sent a message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, to convey condolences for the dozens of dead and wounded in the terrorist attacks of June 7th against the headquarters of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Imam Khomeini Mausoleum in Tehran. The Cuban president asked to extend his condolences to the relatives of the victims.

The President of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association, Mr. Hadi Khansari, visited the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Tehran to personally express his appreciation for the support provided by both the authorities in Havana as well as Cuban and Iranian diplomats to materialize his recent trip of work and pleasure to the Island.
