Third Meeting of Cuban Residents held in Iran
Convoked by its Embassy in Tehran, Cuban residents in the Persian nation attended the third annual meeting held at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission.
The activity began with the singing of the national anthem, followed by the intervention of the Counselor in charge of Consular Affairs, Rebeca Fernández Núñez, who presented the program of the day and provided an update on the status and composition of the small Cuban community in Iran.
Cuban ambassador was received by the Minister of Health of Iran
The Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir González Quesada, was received by the Minister of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, who also serves as co-president of the Cuba-Iran Intergovernmental Commission.
For the Iranian side Deputy Minister for International Affairs, Dr. Mohsen Asadi Lari, was also present at the meeting while Second Secretary of the Embassy, Norberto Escalona Carrillo participated for the Cuban side.
Cuban Ambassador holds meeting with the Secretary General of INIC
The Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir González Quesada, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC), Prof. Saeed Sarkar. The Cuban diplomat was accompanied at the gathering by the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Norberto Escalona Carrillo.
Indigenous Resistance Day was celebrated in Tehran
The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Tehran recalled colleagues from diplomatic missions, which also represent the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Trade Treaty of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), and the Iranian public in general, to celebrate October 12th, the Indigenous Resistance Day. This event was established in 2002, on the initiative of the late Commander Hugo Chavez Frias.
Iraq and its people admire the resistance of Cuba and its revolution
The Ambassador of Iraq in Tehran, Rageh Al-Musawi, paid a courtesy visit to his Cuban counterpart, Vladimir González Quesada, to reciprocate the visit made him the latter on October 4th, in his Embassy.
Al-Musawi expressed appreciation for the warm reception from Gonzalez, who is also non-resident ambassador in Baghdad.
