Cuba’s ambassador to Ireland unveiled a new plaque in Galway last week celebrating historic links between the two island nations.

The Mayor of the city of Galway receives the Cuban ambassador to Ireland.
Galway, Ireland, May 2, 2024. This afternoon, the mayor of the western city of Galway, Ireland, received the Cuban ambassador in this country, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, on a courtesy visit.
During the meeting, both parties highlighted the historical and current ties that unite both countries and peoples, as well as the potential for exchanges in different fields between Cuba and Galway.
