Statement from Global Solidarity ICTU Committee on continued inclusion by US of Cuba on list of state sponsors of terrorism.
The ICTU condemns the continued inclusion by the US of Cuba on a list of state sponsors of terrorism, without any evidence whatsoever to justify this.
This is despite the fact that Cuba does not appear in a list of countries which do not fully cooperate in the fight against terrorism, issued by the US State Department recently.
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently issued a statement which called for its removal from the US list of State sponsors of terrorism which it describes as unjust.

The Communist Party of Ireland denounces the unjust and undemocratic decision of the US government to keep Cuba on the List of countries that “sponsor terrorism”.
Although Cuba does not appear on the current list of countries that “do not fully cooperate with US counter-terrorism efforts in the calendar year 2023” contained in US Secretary of State Blinken’s report to Congress, Cuba remains on the existing US list.
