Jamaica highlights excellence of Relations with Cuba during cocktail for the 58th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution
KINGSTON, January 20th, 2017. The Government of Jamaica highlighted the excellent ties with Cuba and reiterated the compromise to strengthen them during the cocktail offered by the Ambassador of Cuba in occasion of the 58th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, attended by important Jamaican political personalities, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade , Senator Kamina Johnson Smith.
Jamaicans thank Cuba and Fidel during 40th anniversary of Jose Marti Technical High School
KINGSTON, JAMAICA, January 14, 2017.The date January 10th, 1977 was engraved in the memory of 560 Jamaican young students who were selected from different regions of the country to attend the Jose Marti Secondary School donated by Cuba and its Leader to the Jamaican people, in a time when the friendship between Fidel Castro and Michael Manley was translated into different social projects like this school.
Cuba celebrates Human Rights International Day
Cuba joins the international community on the celebration of the Human Rights International Day this December 10th, having the certainty that in this Caribbean nation, the full exercise of political rights and civil liberties, as well as economic, social and cultural rights, is guaranteed.
The triumph of the Revolution in 1959, led by the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, made possible that Cuban men and women could achieve significant advances in the enjoyment of the human rights.
Jamaica´s PNP expresses solidarity with Cuba after hurricane Matthew
KINGTSON, JAMAICA, October 12, 2016. Following requestfrom the People´s National Party (PNP), Cuban Ambassador Bernardo Guanche Hernandez held a fraternal meeting with a representation of this important political forcewilling to state its solidarity with Cuba after the damages caused by hurricane Mathew in the eastern part of the country.
