July 26: National Rebellion Day
July 26 is and will be one of the most important pages in Cuban history. Under the direction of our historic leader Fidel Castro Ruz, the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, removed the foundations of the Batista dictatorship.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the historic events of July 26, we remember the speech of our Commander in Chief in a ceremony in Santiago de Cuba, on July 26, 1983, when he said:
CUBA REJECTS PRESENCE OF US NUCLEAR SUBMARINE IN THE GUANTANAMO BAY
Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly rejects the arrival of a nuclear-powered submarine in the Guantanamo Bay on July 5, 2023, that stayed until July 8 at the US military base located there, which is a provocative escalation of the United States, whose political or strategic motives are not known.
