Cuba and Kenya to assess bilateral health cooperation
Cuban Public Health Minister José Ángel Portal and Kenya's Foreign Minister Alfred Mutua, on Tuesday held a meeting in Cuba´s capital to assess two-way health cooperation, the Public health Ministry (MINSAP) informed.
 

Portal reaffirmed that, in spite of the fact that the Cuban health system is facing a recovery process following the severe confrontation with Covid-19, “we are willing to share what we have”.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Kenya, Juan Manuel Rodríguez Vázquez, held a friendly meeting with Ababu-Terrah Namwamba, Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts.

During the exchange, they discussed the mutual interest of exploiting the potentials the two countries have in the field of sports. They agreed on the willingness to strengthen and rekindle the cooperation agreement previously signed between Cuba and Kenya on sports matters.

Cordial exchange with Maimunah Mohd Sharif, Executive Director of UN-HABITAT. We talked about the priorities defined by the organization, Cuba's role in the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, UN-Habitat's support to our country, among other topics of mutual interest. The Executive Director accepted the invitation to visit Cuba for the first time.

The Cuban Ambassador to Kenya, Juan Manuel Rodríguez Vázquez, had a fruitful exchange with the new Kenyan Cabinet Secretary of Health, Susan Wafula. Both parties expressed their willingness to boost cooperation in the field of health, as well as to explore new opportunities for collaboration of mutual interest to both countries.

Delegates from 65 countries from all continents will attend the 22nd EIPCO, International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties to be held 27-29 at the Havana Convention Palace.

"United we are stronger" is the slogan of the event in which representatives of 82 political forces and 31 delegations headed by their presidents or general secretaries will participate.

The meeting will promote the debate on the challenges of the leftist forces in the face of the imperialist offensive, in their eagerness to impose hegemony at the global level.
