Meeting of the Cuban ambassador with the Assistant of Kuwait's Foreign Minister for international organizations
Kuwait, September 23, 2017. The Ambassador of Cuba to the State of Kuwait Andres Gonzalez Garrido met with the Assistant of Kuwait's Foreign Minister for international organizations Mr. Nasser Al-Hain.
During the meeting, the parties acknowledged the intensification of bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as the current political issues and Kuwait's support for Cuba in the United Nations National Assembly to the Cuban resolution against blockade.
In Kuwait was Celebrated Cuban National Rebellion Day
Kuwait, July 27, 2017. Organized by the Cuban Embassy in Kuwait, an event dedicated to the 64th Anniversary of the Assault at the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes in Bayamo was held at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission.
The event was presided over by the Cuban ambassador to Kuwait, Andrés González Garrido, who emphasized the historical significance of this celebration, the first without the physical presence of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, but with his memory and example.

On June 16, 2017, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech full of hostile anti-Cuban rhetoric reminiscent of the times of open confrontation with our country in a Miami theater. He announced his government’s Cuba policy, which rolls back the progress achieved over the last two years since December 17, 2014, when Presidents Raúl Castro and Barack Obama announced the decision to re-establish diplomatic relations and engage in a process towards the normalization of bilateral relations.
