Monrovia, August 6, 2022 - The Liberia-Cuba Solidarity group, with great sadness, sends a message of solidarity support to the Cuban people for the large-scale fire caused on August 5 by a lightning strike that hit the 52 crude oil storage tank at the Matanzas Supertanker Base.

The occasion was propitious to discuss projects of bilateral interest and explore ways to promote academic ties.
During the meeting, both parties ratified their willingness to work towards strengthening bilateral relations in the field of education.

At the event, Liberian Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor officially opened and handed over the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Liberia's Jewels Training Center.

Monrovia, July 26, 2022 - Responding to an invitation from Liberian President George Manneh Weah, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera together with members of the diplomatic corps participated in the official ceremony for the Independence Day of the West African country.
With the presence of the presidents of Nigeria, Guinea Bissau, and Gambia, the official program in commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the independence of Liberia took place at the Centennial Memorial Pavilion.
